Answer
Under the Litter (Northern Ireland) Order 1994, my Department is responsible for ensuring that these locations are kept clear of litter as far as is reasonably practicable. While my Department uses CCTV to monitor traffic progression, there are currently no plans to install such systems for the purpose of litter enforcement. However, the M2 slip roads at Fortwilliam Roundabout and the slip road from York Street to the M2 have been referred to a contractor for remedial cleansing action.
