Answer
Road safety is a high priority for my Department, and we are committed to working proactively to make our roads safer and to address the needs of all road users.
At locations where recurrent vehicles collisions are known to occur, my officials undertake an assessment of the site and consider a range of road safety engineering measures that may minimise the risk in line with current policy guidance RSPPG E027 – ‘Road Safety Engineering Procedures. Schemes are then assessed and prioritised for progression against other regional safety priorities within the available budget.
